What are the advantages to using the e-file system?
It’s free! No more paying for postage, wondering if your complaint got lost in the mail,
finding a notary, or getting to our downtown office and finding/paying for parking!
The e-file system is available 24/7 throughout the filing period. You can do everything
online through the e-file system including filing your complaint, updating your contact
information, and uploading evidence.
What are the disadvantages?
There aren't any!
What do you need to file?
• A valid phone number and email address.
• The parcel number of the property in question.
• Your opinion of value.
Are there any restrictions?
You can only file one parcel per complaint through the e-file system. You can file multiple complaints if necessary.
What can I submit as evidence?
Evidence can be anything that you think supports your opinion of value. Everything you submit becomes a public record, so just be sure to remove any Social Security numbers, dates of birth or account numbers; that information is not necessary.
Do I have to submit my evidence when filing my complaint?
NO! You DO NOT need to submit your evidence at the time of filing your complaint.
If you have it ready, you can submit it through the e-portal at the time of filing. If you don’t have everything together, you can send us your evidence at least 7 business days prior to your scheduled hearing.
If you have questions about the filing process, please call 216-443-7195 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can also e-mail questions to borinfo@cuyahogacounty.gov
