What are the advantages to using the e-file system?
It’s free! No more paying for postage, wondering if your complaint got lost in the mail,
finding a notary, or getting to our downtown office and finding/paying for parking!
The e-file system is available 24/7 throughout the filing period. You can do everything
online through the e-file system including filing your complaint, updating your contact
information, and uploading evidence.
How do I use the e-file system?
Watch the videos below or read the instructions for a step-by-step tutorial for using the e-file system.
What are the requirements for using the e-file system?
1. You must have a valid email address and phone number
2. Know the parcel number of the property in question. Don’t know the parcel
number? You can find it HERE.
3. You can file one parcel per complaint through the e-file system. If you are filing complaints for multiple properties, you must e-file a separate complaint for each parcel. (Don’t worry, we tried to make this process easy!)
4. You can only file on properties you own unless you meet the specific
requirements of R.C. 5715.19.
5. You MUST indicate an opinion of value. This is what you think your property is
worth. You must enter the value as a whole number. Do not use a range.
The Board of Revision will DISMISS your complaint if you do not state
an opinion of value.
Do I need to file my evidence when I file my complaint?
No. You can upload evidence when you file your complaint, but you can file it any time, up to seven business days before your hearing.
Will the Board of Revision confirm that I filed my complaint?
Yes. After you file a complaint, you will get an e-mail confirmation from
BorVerify@cuyahogacounty.us. If you do not receive an e-mail, please check your
spam folder or call 216-443-7195.
Are you an attorney or working for an attorney filing on a client’s behalf who has never filed with the Board of Revision before?
As an attorney or someone who works for an attorney, you will have the ability to file more than one parcel on a complaint if the parcels are part of one economic unit. To do this, you will need to have an account. Please e-mail our office with your name, address, bar number, and main e-mail address for you/ your firm. The Board of Revision will create an account for you within one business day.
If you have questions about the filing process, please call 216-443-7195 Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can also e-mail questions to borinfo@cuyahogacounty.us.
Thank You, Cuyahoga County will reach out shortly to you.
